Betty reached out to us 8 years ago when we were newcomers at Heather Gardens. We considered her to be our best friend. We miss her and we always will.

  2. My heart aches for the extended Nielsen Clan. Betty was a special gal and made us all laugh. I had the pleasure to first meet Betty in 1998 when my husband and I moved to Denver. Our last date was lunch at one of her favorite restaurants, the Olive Garden. Betty is now at peace now and memories of her will always bring a smile. She will be dearly missed.

    Sincere condolences,
    Mary Byron

  3. So glad I got to know you Auntie Betty, also known as my mom, Loretta’s youngest sister. Thanks to your daughter keeping us up to date on your final days

  4. I worked with Betty for a long time in Staff Traffic at CDOT, and have known her for over 40 years.
Everybody in traffic considered her “mom” because she listened to everyone’s problems and helped solve them whether work related or personal. Truly a great friend, person, and co-worker. She’ll be missed by many..

  5. Sending heartfelt condolences to Betty’s family. We’re grateful we got to know her and will always recall her smile, good nature and wit.
