Gary Russell Shea, 72, died at home on Tuesday July 2, 2019 due to complications associated with brain cancer.

Born November 24th, 1947 in Denver, Colorado, he grew up on a farm in Fort Lupton and later moved to Lakewood where he worked at Safeway as a clerk until his retirement in 2006.  After retirement, he worked as a warehouse foreman for Performance Radiator until 2018.  Along with working for Safeway, he spent a lot of time working on and restoring various vehicles. Gary was a long time member of Victory Baptist Church, jack of all trades, forever friend, loving father/grandfather and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting him.

Survivors include his wife Patricia Shea (Lakewood), Siblings Wayne Shea (Jeanne), Pat Richardson (Gene), Mike Shea (Vicki), Children – Tyler Richardson-Shea (Tammy), Robert Shea (Jennifer), Thomas Shea (Wendy), Richard Shea, Justin Romero, Melissa Lovell (Matthew), Grandkids – Caitlynn and Carrie Richardson-Shea, Anastasia, Charlize, Natasha and Braeah Shea, Dominique Gioso, Jazlynn, Analei and Aiden Romero, Shane Record (Lovell), Mason and Milena Lovell.  Gary was preceded in death by his parents Marion and Eulene Shea, son Joel Romero and his younger sister Karen Rose Shea.

Services will be held Saturday July 13th at 10:00 a.m. at Victory Baptist Church, 1305 S. Dale Ct. Denver, CO 80219.  There will also be a viewing on Friday July 12th from 5-7 p.m. at Horan and McConaty at 3101 S Wadsworth. Lakewood, CO.
