Isabelle Maria Longwell passed away on Nov. 21, 2018 in Denver, CO at Holly Heights Care Center after a fall from Dementia. She is survived by her children Gary Longwell (Vicki), and Janice Teves (Nathan); her grandchildren Kristen and Andrea Longwell, Wendy Fox, Randy Heisinger, Angie Stover, and Rachel Woodroof; nephew, Jeff Leaf and cousin, Lorraine Bandimere, several great grandchildren; and many others from blended families and close friends. Isabelle was predeceased by her parents Axel and Emelia Leaf; her husband Clayton Longwell; and her twin brother Eno “Bud” Leaf. “Izzie” passed away exactly 25 years to the day from when her husband died.
Isabelle graduated from Denver South High School in 1940 and she worked as an insurance secretary for 60 years. She was involved in the Business and Professional Women’s Foundation for years. She was active in many groups at Washington Park UM Church since 1953 and also a long-time volunteer at the 9Health Fair with her husband Clay. In addition to her career and volunteering, Isabelle enjoyed gardening and scrapbooking.
Isabelle’s internment will be Sunday, January 13 at 10:30 A.M. at Washington Park UMC, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Washington Park UMC.
