Bernadette Ann (Steffes) Hamill, born October 26, 1935 died peacefully on March 25th, 2022, in Wheat Ridge, CO, at the age of 86 years old. She was born in Longmont, CO, where she met Jerry Hamill, her husband of 60 years. The two loved raising their family in Golden, CO.
Bernadette was devoted to her faith and her family. She especially enjoyed writing and producing the annual Christmas performance put on by her grandchildren. When she was not putting on a family gathering for birthdays and holidays she spent time playing bridge with friends or enjoying the outdoors and camping. Later in life she enjoyed serving lunch to children at D’Evelyn Jr-Sr High School. She spent her final years well cared for at Rocky Mountain Assisted Living.
Mrs. Hamill was proceeded in death by husband Jerry Hamil (4/1/2014), parents Barbara and Herman Steffes, brother Leo Steffes, and sister Luella Radosevich. She is survived by brother Jim Steffes, sister Mary Lou Jeffries, and children: Vicki (Mike) Fightmaster, Bob (Jeannine) Hamill, Terri (Randy) Kanai, Suzie (Tommy) Radosevich, and Jenny Peacock. She is also survived by 10 grand children, 11 great grandchildren and one on the way.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 11th, at St. Joesph Catholic Parish, 969 Ulysses St. Golden, CO 80401. Rosary and viewing will begin at 9:30 am, followed by Mass, at 10:00 am with a luncheon to follow.
Interment will take place, Wednesday, April 13th, at 12:00 Noon, at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Blvd., Denver, CO 80235.
