Betty Hendricks

June 3, 1927 — January 6, 2022

Denver, CO

After 94 years of spreading her faith, her wisdom and her light, Betty Mae Hendricks is now with The Lord.

Betty was born on June 3, 1927 in Detroit, MI to Fred and Gertrude Seagram and was raised with 8 other siblings.  She met her husband Don in college and was soon married with babies on the way (9 total).  She loved being a wife and a mother.  In fact, that was all she dreamed about as a child, raising a big family.  Her other love was cooking for the family.  She spread this passion in her later years by cooking for a fraternity at School of Mines and then she went on to cook for a priest at Holy Family Catholic Church.  Betty loved serving the community through her faith; she ran a retreat house in Sedalia, CO, she gave communion to the homebound, she was always spreading her love and knowledge of her faith, she loved her Contemplative Prayer group and she brought food and other items such as Christmas gifts to anyone in need.

She was preceded in death by her husband Don and children Tom and Becky (Tom’s beloved wife) and Maureen.  She is survived by her children Dan (Marilyn), Chris, Mel (Maureen’s beloved husband), Salli, Pat, Pete (Renee), Mary (Darren) and Laura as well as her 25 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.  What a legacy!
