Brian Barwise

d. October 31, 2021

Brian Allen Barwise, age 64, died in his home in Sheridan, Colorado on Sunday, October 31, 2021. Brian was a master journeyman machinist who recently retired after over 40 years working in the field. His ability at his job was unsurpassed and he frequently trained new hires on all aspects of the trade.

Although not born in Colorado, Brian spent most of his life in Colorado and loved the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and could be found enjoying his favorite hobby throughout the year - whether at a river, reservoir, or on the ice. He shared that love with his family, showing them the ropes whenever possible. He was also a hunter, camper, and a backcountry skier. Later in life, in his 50's, he played amateur ice hockey and took up playing the bass guitar.

Never satisfied, Brian also found a love for audio engineering, photography, and videography. He could often be found experimenting in these areas and sharing his new projects with friends and family. Brian also enjoyed putting his skills to use building his models - both trains and airplanes. He had an amazing collection.

Brian is survived by his sisters, Marilyn Rissmiller and Barbara Fyke, as well as nieces, nephews, and friends. He had a quiet and gentle soul and loved his family very much. He will be missed greatly by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A memorial service will be held at the Ken Caryl Ranch House- Bradford room, 7690 S Continental Divide Rd, Littleton, CO 80127 on Sunday, November 21 from 11-1. The family welcomes anyone that would like to come to share a memory of Brian and enjoy lunch.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in Brian's name to Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
