Brian Minear

1970 – September 4, 2021 Brian Minear, 51, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away on September 4, 2021. Brian is survived by his wife, Lesley, and their two sons, Brandon and Brady, all of Aurora, CO; mother and stepfather, Deb and Bernie Alberter; father and stepmother, Bruce and Tish Minear; mother-in-law, Ginny Ward; grandmother, LeVonne Minear; stepsisters: Kristen (Tom), Nita (Dustin); stepbrothers: John (Kara), Aaron (Gwen), Noah (Chris). He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Billy Minear, and Worth and Betty Jo Cornelius.

Brian’s life was full of laughter, funny stories, and the love of his friends and family, especially his children. His boys were his everything and he loved them with his whole being. He showed them by example how to be strong, loving, and caring men. He was a best friend and loving husband to Lesley, a perfect partner in crime for over 26 years.

Brian loved to play games, especially card games. You could often hear laughter and his sharp wit over a game of hearts, gin rummy, or Uno. He loved the outdoors and spent winters doing hut to huts with family and friends, and skiing with his boys. He loved finding new places to hike.

Brian enjoyed spending time with his friends for wonderful get togethers, tons of laughter, and travel, especially with his best friends Charles and Gordon on their annual adventures. He enjoyed his biannual trips to Kansas, his second home, with memories of Christmas Eves, fireworks, croquet, family gatherings, stories, and so much love. His family and friends filled his life with love and laughter.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held on September 17, 2021, at 2:30 PM, at the HeartLight Center at Horan & McConaty, Aurora, CO: 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave, Aurora CO 80014. At a later date, Brian will be laid to rest in Canton, Kansas. A ceremony will be held in Canton, KS at that time.
