Carol Hinz

Carol Hinz, 92 of Westminster went home to be with the Lord on May 11, 2017. She was born in Chicago, IL on December 25, 1924 to William and Mae Johnson. Carol was the eighth of nine siblings, five girls and four boys. She graduated from West Chicago High School in 1942. Carol married Al Hinz on May 1, 1943 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Wheaton, IL where they lived. She became a stay-at-home mother to four children--Cal, Bill, Donna and Barb. In 1967, Carol and Al moved their family to Castle Rock, CO where she worked as a secretary with her husband at Brock-Hinz Realtors. They later moved to Fort Collins where they lived happily for thirty-nine years. Carol made her move to Westminster in 2013 to be closer to her family and share in the lives of her many great-grandchildren. Carol was a devout Christian and served as a Bible Study Leader for over 60 years. Her positive outlook and cheerful smile will forever remain with those that knew her. Carol was preceded in death by her loving husband Al, daughter Cal Bergman. Survivors include son Bill (Debbie) Hinz of La Habra Heights, CA; daughter Donna (Pat) Nevin of Westminster, CO; daughter Barb Baldwin of Arvada, CO; (Brian) husband of the late Cal Bergman, La Habra Heights; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; sister Annamae Wheeland of Valparaiso, IN; and a host of devoted family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at the Covenant Village Chapel in Westminster. Interment will be held at 2:30 p.m., Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area ""B"", Denver, CO. Friends may send condolences to the family at horancares.com
