Carole Weichel

Carole Weichel, 76, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away suddenly September 8, 2021. She was born Carolie Pearl Kniss on August 30, 1945 in Brighton, Colorado to Adam and Lydia Kniss. Carole graduated from Brighton High School, in 1963.

In 1997, Carole married Michael Weichel in Brighton, Colorado.

Carole worked at South Denver Cardiology for over 20 years. She loved to read and was in several Book Clubs. She had a passion for cooking and entertaining, hosting several parties every year and she loved to travel and explore new places. For many years Michael and Carole went on weekend getaways, as well as international vacations.

Carole is survived by her husband, Mike P. Weichel; daughters, Kristy Mueller and Heather Mueller; son, Michael and wife Layla Rutherford; as well as many Children, Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, and her loving dog SadieMay.

A Celebration of Carole’s life will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, September 14th at Horan & McConaty, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave., Aurora, CO 80014. A Reception will follow in the HeartLight Center next to the funeral home.
