Catherine Wasko

Catherine Wasko, age 75, passed away peacefully on October 1st, 2022, at the lifecare center in Westminster Co.

Catherine Ann Zigler was born on April 22nd, 1947, to Ralph Zigler and Ann Haberkorn Zigler, in Denver, Colorado. Catherine attended school in Denver and graduated from East High school in 1965. On June 1st, 1968, Catherine married Matthew Wasko in Denver, Colorado. To this union, two children were born, Sean Paul Wasko (53) and Shane Thomas Wasko (47). She worked as a medical malpractice specialist at Hartford Insurance Company for many years until she retired in 2007.

Catherine’s greatest joy was always her family and spending time with them. After her retirement, she filled her days with cooking, baking, and crocheting. She loved bowling and crossword puzzles. She was a devout Catholic and taught her children the same.

Catherine is survived by her two sons Sean Wasko (Kimberly Whaley) and Shane Wasko (Jennifer Fuhler), and granddaughter Ashleigh Wasko (Jeremiah). She was preceded in death by her father and mother.

A private viewing will take place at Horan & McConaty, located at 9998 Grant St. in Thornton, CO, on Friday, October 7th, 2022. All flowers and cards are to be sent to Horan & McConaty.
