Cynthia Maas

Cynthia Anne Maas, age 66, passed away from a long illness in her home in Denver, Colorado on August 22, 2022. She was a graduate of Lakewood High School, and the CO College of Medical & Dental Assistance Program. Later, she became an Honorably Discharged Veteran of the U.S.A.F. Returning home, she enrolled in the Concorde Career Institute. After graduating, she decided to stay and teach in the Lab Technician department. Soon, she was elevated to the position of “Director of Education”. She retired early due to health concerns. She loved the Lord. It became routine to ask for prayer requests. She will be highly missed for her concern for others.

During the early years she enjoyed roller skating. Later, crocheting, crafting handmade gifts, and playing the piano. She inherited for the love of music from her father, Frankie Burg.

She is survived by her husband, Donald; and her brother Frank Burg, wife Lyn, and their five children, Amy, Jen, Arron, Jordan, and Taylor.

Funeral services will take place on September 7, 2022 at 11:30am at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood, CO 80227, followed by a Shelter Service at Fort Logan National Cemetery at 1:15pm. For those who would like to attend the service at Fort Logan, please meet at Staging Area C no later than 1:00pm.
