David Wittke

David Eugene Wittke, age 74, died on March 14, 2023. He was originally from Brighton, Colorado, but has been a resident of Arvada for most of his adult life. Dave joined the United States Marine Corps in 1966, served 13 months in Vietnam and made the rank of Corporal. He became a Denver police officer in 1970 and proudly served the city for 32 years, retiring as a Corporal after being a training officer for many years.

Dave is survived by his wife, Debbie, his son, David K. of Westminster, his sister, Victoria Smith of Maui, Hawaii, and 3 nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother William.

Funeral service will take place at Horan & McConaty, 7577 W. 80th Avenue, Arvada, CO, on Friday, April 14 at 10:00 a.m. with a reception to follow. Committal service will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Avenue, Denver, Co at 1:30 p.m., Pavilion B.
