Deborah Akers

April 27, 1959 — April 12, 2021

Denver

Deborah Akers was born the daughter of John and Violet Peppas on April 27, 1959 and grew up in the Bronx New York. She was the youngest of 3 sisters Margret the oldest and Christina the middle and they were born 5 years apart.

Deborah met her husband John Akers in March 1982, and they were married September 2nd 1983 in Brighton Colorado and were married for 37 years.

On January 20 1992, John and Deborah welcomed their only child Michael James Akers into the world.

Deborah, or Debbie as she liked to be called and John Akers ran cafeterias for the state of Colorado for 23 years where she was the head cook and kept the books , as well as helped to purchase supplies for the cafeteria .

Debbie was a very loving and giving person all the time putting others needs before her own.

Debbie liked to celebrate holidays and birthdays except for her own. She didn’t want others making a fuss over her birthday, even though she made a fuss over other birthdays in the family.

I will truly miss Debbie. We were more than just husband and wife, we were best friends since the day we met, and we loved to talk and kid around with each other. I will truly miss all of the great times we had together, and I will always love you. You were truly my hero, and I will miss you every day.

With love, husband,

John
