Denise Patrick

Denise Marie Helland Patrick joined her Lord, her favorite dog Chesney and her dad peacefully on July 18, 2022 with her children Jennifer Davis and Robert Koontz by her side in Denver, Colorado after a long battle with cancer.

Denise was born on June 4, 1953 in Austin, Minnesota to Gene and Lavonna Helland.  She graduated from Cherry Creek High School in 1971 and Colorado became her home.  She started her family young and spent time as a single mother after her first marriage.  She married Randy Patrick in 1983 and they lived in Aurora for almost 4 decades.  She worked in the restaurant industry when she was younger, and then at State Farm for more than 30 years.  She got to retire in 2017.  In 2020 she moved to Palm Coast, Florida to enjoy retirement and a fresh start.  She resided in Palm Coast until August 2021 when she returned to Colorado to be cared for family and friends.

She is survived by her mother Lavonna, her children Jen and Rob, her 2 granddaughters, Shelbie and Gracelyn, her ex-husband Randy and her 5 siblings:  Michael, Steven, Cynthia, Thomas and Jeannine.  She also has many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Finally, Denise left behind her cat Libby who was by her side during her cancer battle.

She will be memorialized at Heritage Eagle Bend Clubhouse on July 30th at 1:00.
