Donna Marie Breen Palumbo, 68, of Arvada, Colo., passed away peacefully at home on May 5, 2022 from ALS – Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.
Donna's husband, Mike, describes her as a true people person, who loved striking up conversations with everyone. She collected bears and owls and enjoyed camping and traveling. Donna and Mike's favorite spot to vacation with their RV was at Steamboat Lake. They vacationed in Maui and Orlando and enjoyed cruises.
Donna worked as a purchasing agent for Drive Train Industries for 48 years. She was born and raised in Denver, Colo., where she graduated from Holy Family High School.
Donna is survived by her beloved husband, Michael Palumbo, and siblings Gary Breen (Susan) of Evanston, Ill., David Breen of Tucson, Ariz., Russel Breen (Elizabeth) of Union, N.J., Debra Breen (Elaine) of Rollinsville, Colo., Daniel Breen of Denver, Colo., Teresa Breen Heck (Kenneth) of Des Moines, Iowa., and Douglas Breen of Ft. Worth, Tex.
Also, nieces Kelly Breen Arrogante (Kevin), Maggie Breen Melody (Matthew), Amber Breen Mack (Schuyler), Cassie Breen McCaw, Savannah Breen Molina (Cesar), and Taylor Breen Martin (Amani); nephews Shawn Breen, Darren Breen, Derek Breen, Devon Breen, and Justin Golden.
She is also survived by her stepdaughters Suzi Palumbo Albo (Robert) of Arvada, Colo., Leann Palumbo Letson of Arvada, Colo., and Stephanie Palumbo Gibbons (Jake) of Independence, Mo.; grandchildren Abby, Caleb, and Audri Albo; Hailey, Wyatt, and Jase Letson; and Sparkle, Michelle, and Joseph Gibbons as well as eight stepsisters and stepbrothers and more than thirty step-nieces-and-nephews.
She was predeceased by her father Donald H. Breen, her mother Beulah "Boots" Starner Breen, and her sister Patricia "Tridie" Breen.
A Celebration of Life will be held this summer.
