Edward Bohn

Edward John Bohn (also known as “Eddie,” “EJ” or just plain “Ed”) died September 24, 2021 at his home in Littleton, Colorado. Born July 18, 1930 to Anna and Valtin Bohn, he grew up in Brighton and Denver, Colorado. He graduated from Manual High School in 1948 and served as an artillery mechanic in the United States Army. While stationed in Ft. Knox, Kentucky, he met his future wife of sixty-three years, Mary Rose Yates. They were married in Louisville, Kentucky in 1953 and had six children. Eddie was a machinist for the Rio Grande Railroad for 33 years. He was known for his quick wit, his ability to repair or build anything and being the most sought-after polka dance partner at weddings.

Eddie is preceded in death by his parents and several siblings, twin sons, Ronald and Donald, and his wife, Mary Rose.  He is survived by his daughters, Deborah A. Perkins (the late Donald Perkins), Connie S. Bohn (Rick Schultz), Tammie M. Buser (Joe), and son, Michael G. Bohn (Jessica Landay) as well as his 11 loving grandchildren, Michael J. Bohn, Nicole D. Martinez (Miguel), Justin J. Bohn (Ashley), Zachary E. Bohn (Danielle Pelletier), Paxton I. Bohn, Cannon J. Bohn, Charles J. Schultz (Caitlin), Mollie E. Schultz (Cole Peterson), Joseph E. Schultz, Katlyn King (Bobby), Caylee A. Warner (Levi). He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren: Jackson E. Martinez, Colby M. Martinez, Benjamin J. Martinez, Samantha R. Bohn, M. Bodhi Bohn, Adeline R. Bohn, Hudson E. Bohn, Brayden A. King, Brooklyn M. King, Bryson C. King, Wylleaux D. Warner, Matteks T. Warner, and Magnolia J. Warner, as well as step-grandchildren, Lisa Raybourne of Springfield, Kentucky, and Troy Perkins (Jill) of Yuma, Arizona and step-great-grandchildren Xander Raybourne (Scarlett), Haeli and Ethan Perkins. He is also survived by one sister, and other relatives, including numerous nieces and nephews. He is loved and missed by many.

Visitation Sunday, October 3, 2021, 2:00 pm, Rosary 3:00 pm, Horan & McConaty, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd. Funeral Mass Monday, October 4, 2021, 10:00 am, St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 3801 W. Ohio Ave. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
