Errol Poulson

March 6, 1944 — December 5, 2022

Thornton, Colorado

Errol Blaine Poulson was born on March 6th, 1944 in San Diego California to George Brown Poulson and Madonna Loise Angle Poulson. Errol didn’t meet his father until his father returned from serving in the Pacific during World War II. His father then became a traveling salesman selling farm equipment so the family moved a number of times during Errol’s youth. Errol graduated in 1962 from Granger High School in Granger (now West Valley), Utah and then went on to serve in the Army and also served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He attended Brigham Young University to become a geologist and later became a skilled tool and die maker instead. He worked on tools that were used to build the Eisenhower Tunnel which carries I-70 under the Continental Divide in Colorado and was a very skilled tool and die maker. He worked for Intermountain Wholesale Company (IMCO) for 50 years as a design engineer, designing specialized semi trailers. He was a kind man, always concerned for the welfare of others.

Errol is survived by his wife Carmen, five children: Stephanie Denison and husband David, Steven Larsen and wife Maria, Jennifer Poulson Brookes, Jared Poulson, and Errol Owen Poulson. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He passed away on December 5, 2022 after being ill since earlier this year. Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Westminster, Colorado, on Friday, December 23rd at 10:00am followed by interment in Fort Logan National Cemetery. The family requests that rather than sending flowers, donations are to be made to families with children for Christmas, or your favorite charity.

Please share memories of Errol and condolences with his family by visiting the tribute wall.
