Pauline Bullard died peacefully on February 25, 2021 surrounded by her loving husband of 58 years, Wayne, and her two daughters, Julie and Patty. She was 90.
Pauline was born in Denver on January 24,1931 to Robert and Edna Newton. She attended several schools growing up due to job related moves of her parents. She attended high school in Snyder, Colorado.
Pauline married Phillip Don Reasoner and they had two daughters together – Julie Ann, born April 20, 1950 and Patty Lou, born October 3, 1953. They lived in Brush, Colorado. and operated a motel and Don was also a truck driver. Tragically, Don was killed in a small plane crash in 1960. In 1962, Pauline married Wayne Bullard, who had also lost his first wife in an automobile accident. Wayne had two children, Larry Wayne and Carol Lynn. The new combined family lived in Brush until they moved to Idaho Springs, Colorado in 1966 due to a job transfer. They very much enjoyed the small mountain town where all four children graduated from high school and the family took many enjoyable trips to the Colorado mountains with their camping trailer.
Pauline was a very accomplished musician, playing the accordion, piano, organ and keyboard. She and Wayne played professionally for many, many years with polka and German Dutch Hop being their specialty. Pauline had an extraordinary talent to be able to play by ear. She did not read music; she could hear the song and then play it!
Pauline is survived by her husband, Wayne; and her daughters, Julie A. Fitzgerald and her husband Jerry of Evergreen, Colorado, and Patty L. Rutherford and her husband, Bruce of Usk, Washington; her two stepchildren, Larry W. Bullard and his wife Elena of Cornville, Arizona, and Carol L.
