George Marsico

George Keith Marsico, beloved husband, father, brother, son, grandfather, great-grandfather, father-in-law and just a great loving person, 86, passed away peacefully on July 14th 2022. He was born in Trinidad, Colorado on July 7th 1936 to Mario John Marsico and Marie Dorothy Butt Marsico. He lived in Morley, Colorado but attended and graduated from Trinidad High School. He also attended Trinidad State College where he graduated. After he graduated he moved to Denver, Colorado and married his high school sweetheart Twyla Berry. He then started a 35 year career as a sheetmetal journeyman. George and Twyla had 4 children: Keith, Wanda, Yvonne and Tracy. They later divorced and he married Shirley Ward, the love of his life and gained a son: Dwight. A few years later they had a child together, Rosie. As a blended family united, George loved and welcomed all his children and in turned we all loved and treasured the man we called Dad. George loved camping, traveling, watching sports, riding dirt bikes, family time and above all watching his beloved WESTERNS. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends. George is survived by his wife Shirley and 6 children: Keith (Joni) Marsico, Wanda Marsico, Yvonne (Jimmie) Ogden, Tracy (Michael) Penman, Dwight Ward and Rosie (Dan) Norris; 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. George is preceded in death by his parents Mario and Marie and his sisters, Sister Phyllis Marsico and Mary Marsico.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday July 26th, 2022, 11:00am at Spirit of Christ Catholic Community, 7400 W. 80th Ave. Arvada Colorado. Friends may visit with family from 10:00am to 10:45 at the church. Celebration of Life will follow the service at the church. Interment, Wednesday July 27th at 1:00pm at Trinidad Catholic Cemetery in Trinidad, Colorado.
