Georgia Bell

September 7, 1929 — February 22, 2021

Georgia Lee Frazier Bell was born September 7, 1929 in Kaufman, Texas.  She passed away on February 22, 2021.

Georgia moved to Denver in the early 1950’s, and attended the St. Anthony’s Hospital School of Nursing.

Because of her gratitude for the guidance of the Sisters of St. Anthony, she would return as a hospital volunteer for many years after graduation.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, she worked at the University of Colorado Medical Center in various positions, and retired in 1986 after 27 years of service.

After retirement, she worked at the Hyatt Regency in the Denver Technological Center as a concierge.

She also found time to pursue her many hobbies such as cooking, painting, flower arranging, and gardening.

Georgia had a long history of service.  She was a dedicated volunteer at the Church of the Risen Christ by ironing the altar linens, as well as volunteering in the Book Nook after Sunday mass, and offering prayers in the Adoration Chapel. .

Georgia was member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and a prayer companion for the Sisters of St Francis of Perpetual Adoration in Colorado Springs.

At 80 years old, Georgia moved to Clermont Park and quickly assimilated into the community.

She did whatever she could to use her talents,  such as helping in the gift shop, and making sure that the residents in her community were remembered on their birthday with cards.

Georgia was a devoted mother and grandmother.  She had two daughters, Marvaette Washington and La Donna Faye Bell (deceased), and two grandsons, Allen J. Bell and Elijah I. Bell.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m, March 12, 2021 at The Church of the Risen Christ, 3060 S Monaco Parkway, Denver Colorado.
