Jacob Dean Nez Goodman
Jacob Dean Nez Goodman, age 34, passed away in Denver, CO on Monday, July 12, 2021. The cause of death was cirrhosis of the liver.
Jacob was born on Wednesday, May 13, 1987 in Goulding, Utah to James and Edith Goodman. He lived in Algodones, New Mexico. Jacob attended the University of Southern California where he studied Anthropology. He was a member of The Ranchers Club of New Mexico and in his career was an Albuquerque and State of New Mexico award winning bartender. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and also initiated into the Hopi tribe.
Jacob was a talented Kachina doll carver and skilled beader, specializing in Native American design. He designed and weaved Navajo and Hopi sash belts. He loved being surrounded by family and friends. Jacob will always be remembered for his big, bright smile and his willingness to always help those in need.
Jacob is survived by his parents, James and Edith Goodman and his beloved brothers and sisters, Matthew (Carlena) Goodman, Kim Goodman, Janae (Francisco) Bautista, Tyler Goodman and Erica (Adam) Raty.
A service will be held in Provo, Utah. Date and Time are undetermined. A Memorial Service will also be held in Algodones, New Mexico.
