JEANETTE C. KLINE

Jen Kline, 96, Golden, CO, passed away peacefully July 28, 2020.  Jen was born February 17, 1924, the daughter of Martin J. and Ida T. (Schuman) Hess in Cleveland, OH.  She graduated from St. Joseph Academy and worked as a telephone operator until she met the love of her life, Robert Kline, also from Cleveland.

Bob and Jen married on June 14, 1947 beginning a 63-year marriage until Bob’s passing in 2010.  She raised her four children while moving seven times, due to Bob’s many promotions with Sinclair Oil, settling permanently in Applewood Mesa in 1960.

Jen enjoyed fashion and had an eye for dressing well.  She shared her talents through her 20-year career with the Denver Dry Goods in woman’s clothing sales.

She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church for 60 years contributing by becoming a Religious Educator teacher guiding children to their First Communion.  She was also a reader at morning Mass and a Eucharist Minister.

Jen had a kind, compassionate nature demonstrated by caring for family, friends, and elderly neighbors.  Her family’s nickname, “Sweet Jen” fits her perfectly.

She is survived by her children:  Doug (Pam Kenny) Kline, Diane (Greg) Kelly, Debra (Paul) Warbington and David Kline along with six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  A private Mass and burial are planned for August 11, 2020.

The family wants to extend our deep gratitude to the caregivers of Manor at Marston Lake and Agape Hospice for providing her with exceptional care especially complicated by the COVID virus requirements.
