Jerry Downie

Jerry Lee Downie passed away on August 6, 2021, very peacefully in his home with his brother Jack and his wife Lori by his side. He was born on October 10, 1946, in Osmond Nebraska. He lived in Nebraska but moved to Colorado shortly after he was married.

Jerry worked at Ampex Associated Grocers and landed at CoorsTek as a computer analyst for 33 years. Jerry and Lori have 2 daughters, Julie (Chris) Miller and Monica (Troy) Robberson, which have blessed them with 7 grandkids; Jake, Jared, Gabriel, Tanner, Dalton, Savannah and Easton. Jerry was happily married to his wife, Lori for 53 years. He enjoyed his retirement years golfing, traveling, playing ping pong and spending time with his family.

Jerry is survived by his sister Karen Suing, brother Darrell and twin brother Jack. He is preceded in death by his father Harold; mother Mae; brothers Dean, Dale, Dwight, Donavon and Douglas.

He will be missed tremendously.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Prostate Cancer research. PCF (Prostate Cancer Foundation) and ZERO are two of the leading foundations committed to advancing research with the mission of ending Prostate Cancer.

A Memorial Service will be held for Jerry on Friday, August 13, 2021, at 11:00am in the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel at 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood, Colorado.
