Joey (Joseph) Jankowski Iv

July 6, 1998 — July 12, 2022

Joey (Joseph) John Jankowski IV, age 24, of Thornton, CO passed away on July 12th, 2022. Joey was born July 6th, 1998 in Denver, CO to Joe and Sabrina Jankowski. Beloved caring brother of Kennedy Jankowski.

During Joey’s short life, he lived to the absolute fullest each day. He put 110% into everything he did. His infectious smile, kindness and tender soul touched everyone he met. His heart was pure gold. Joey always made sure everyone else was taken care of before himself. He loved so deep.

Joey was a free spirit, full of adventure. He took so much pride in his work and worked harder than anyone we’d ever known. He loved what he did, installing windows, trim, building decks and houses. It filled his heart with so much joy. If Joey wasn’t working, he loved playing with his dog Mason, backcountry skiing, playing a round of golf, jumping wakes on the lake, camping, enjoying a good concert at Red Rocks, but most importantly to Joey, always loving his family and friends.

The Colorado mountains was his favorite place to be where he could truly set the dare devil within him free. Skiing, hiking, and enjoying the beautiful scenery with Mason. Glendo, Wyoming was his favorite place to do crazy tricks on the wake and make memories with friends. Joey loved good quality family time shared with good food and a cold beer.

Joey grew up playing hockey and man did he have a mean slap shot. He was an outstanding defensive player. A die-hard Colorado Avalanche fan.

He worked for amazing people and mentors over the years, and truly was so proud to be a Carpenter. He was building and fixing things from day one. His craftmanship spoke for itself, it was always perfect.

Joey constantly smiled, lived wild and free, loved so hard, laughed daily, and spread kindness in all he did. He always was up for an adventure and a good party. Joey, I know hopes you continue to do what he did daily, and don’t sweat the small things. Live like Joey did, full of life!

Joey will be missed deeply and dearly by family and friends.
