Joseph Bernard Horrigan, age 90, died peacefully at home on December 21, 2020. Born to Edward Francis and Evelyn Loretta (Lynch) Horrigan January 9, 1930, in Imogene, Iowa, he and the Horrigan clan moved to Denver in 1937. Through mutual friends, he met his beloved wife, Bernadine Ann Boland, and married in Elkader, Iowa May 12, 1956. A devoted Catholic family life of school and youth sporting events with their five children made for a full life with their friends and local family. Known for hospitality, the Horrigan home was a place of frequent planned and unplanned gatherings of neighbors, family, friends, schoolmates and friends-not-yet-made, with plenty of food and libations.

Survivors include Bernadine and children Tim and wife Diane, mother of Joseph, Katie, Annie, and Maggie, Pat and Terri, mother of Ashley and Jade, Teresa and husband David Vieira, Peggy and husband Brian Ries, father of Nicholas, and Tom and Hilary, mother of Tabor, TJ and Ty. Seven great grandchildren (Kaylee, Hunter, Stella, Joey, Evelyn, Raelyn, and Marley) and numerous Boland/Horrigan nieces and nephews added to their joy.
