Joshua Powell

Joshua Michael Powell, 38, of Arvada, Colorado, passed away on July 16th, 2022 in Westminster, Colorado.

Memorial services will be held Friday, August 12th, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. (MST) at Horan & McConaty Funeral Homes located at 7577 West 80th Avenue, Arvada, Colorado, 80003 with Pastor Scott Bloyer of Elevation Christian Church officiating.

Joshua was born in West Covina, California to Katherine Lauritzen and Roger Powell on August 4th, 1983. He graduated from Horizon High School in 2001 where he played soccer, baseball, football and ran track. In 2002, he graduated from Rocky Mountain Wrestling Academy.

He worked as a Back-up Care Consultant at Bright Horizons for six years and at Macaroni Grill for ten years as a bartender/server. He also worked as a professional wrestler for 14 years for several promotions: PRIMOS Professional Wrestling, IWF Promotions, Asylum Championship Wrestling, Rocky Mountain Championship Wrestling, Ring of Honor, SAGA Underground Wrestling, Ultra Championship Wrestling and Squared Circle Pro.

During his wrestling career, he was awarded the cruiserweight and tag-team championship belts from Rocky Mountain Championship Wrestling, the heavyweight and tag-team championship belts from Asylum Championship Wrestling, the heavyweight championship belt from IWF Promotions and the heavyweight championship belt from PRIMOS Professional Wrestling.

Joshua is preceded in death by his father, Roger Powell; maternal grandparents, Murray and Margaret "Marge" Lauritzen; and paternal grandparents, William "Bill" and Marie Powell.

Joshua is survived by his wife, Crystal Leisure and daughter, Scarlett Powell;  siblings and their spouses, Eric Crandall; Joseph and Tane Crandall; Edward and Sara Crandall; David Lake and K.P. Martin; Nicole and Alex Gonzalez and children, Alex, Mia, Zoey, Elizabeth and Annalyse; and Seth Strinni Jr. and daughter, Aspyn; and his mother and step-father, Katherine and Seth Strinni, Sr.
