Josie Haakenson

Josie Haakenson, 91, of Commerce City, Colorado went peacefully to meet our Lord surrounded by her family on December 17, 2018. She was born on January 6, 1927 in Florance, Colorado to John and Mary Gallegos. She is preceded in death by her husband James Haakenson.

Josie is survived by her children, Richard Castro and his wife Lola, Ginger Salazar and her husband Frank, Debbie Chavez and her husband Manuel, Dixie Noble and her husband Mike; Ten Grandchildren; Twenty Five Great Grandchildren; Two Great Great Grandchildren.

Recitation of the Rosary will be Thursday, December 20, 2018, 11am followed by Funeral Mass at 11:30am both at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 9998 Grant Street, Thornton. Entombment to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery, 7777 West 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge.
