June V. (Archuleta) Dominguez was born on June 7, 1945 to a large hard-working family. One of fourteen children, she often told stories of growing up âon the farmâ. She met the love of her life, Rick Dominguez, and married him at age 17. Together they had three children (Renee, Rod (Darren), and Derick (Wendy)), seven grandchildren (Jovan, Jordan, Ryann, Jalen, Jaren, Alexa and Trey), and a soon-to-be arriving great grandchild. Our mom lived a full life filled with laughter and love. We are blessed to be counted among those she loved. She was famous for her notes, cards, stick figure drawings, late night batches of sopapillas for a next day Spanish class, and for telling every driver on the road exactly what she thought of them - no matter who was in the car. She loved Tweety Bird, Dr. Pepper, family fishing trips, little dogs, and her grandchildren - all of whom constantly asked which of them was her favorite. Every time, the answer would be âI love you all the sameâ - then she would wink and laugh. Known fondly as âGJâ, âG-Maâ, and âJune-bugâ, she did more for us that we can put into words. She was adored by too many family members and friends to count. She left us suddenly on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the young age of 72, after a heart condition and a very short hospital stay. We are comforted by our last conversation with her. She knew a better place awaited her and she went willingly into the open, loving arms of Jesus Christ. Our mom was an incredibly humble woman. She told us many times and on more than one occasion that she did not want a memorial service. She wanted to be cremated and have her ashes placed in the mountains of Colorado. With all our love, we will be honoring her wishes. Please share your condolences with her family by signing the guestbook below.
