Kathleen Radcliffe

August 10, 1929 — June 4, 2020

Kathleen ""Kay"" Pusz Radcliffe, at 90 years young, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 4th, 2020 in Aurora, Colorado.

Kay was born on August 10, 1929 in Brooklyn NY to Jan ""John"" Pusz and Katarzna ""Katy"" Mazur, immigrants to New York from Poland. She was the youngest of eleven children. She was of Catholic faith and attended Catholic school growing up. She remained devout her entire life.

She worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of NY before marrying the love of her life, John Henry Radcliffe in Brooklyn, NY on May 20th, 1951. She became a homemaker and mother to three children: Jean, Paul and Robert.

She lived in many cities throughout her lifetime from the East Coast to the West Coast but always considered Brooklyn, New York to be her home. She was proud to be from New York and that she never lost her accent. She was quick to catch stories or hear someone else from New York and never stopped talking about the city or her family growing up there.

She loved spending time in the garden, painting landscapes and sewing. For a period, she worked with the Salvation Army in Fort Collins CO doing many jobs from ringing the bell to collecting clothing for their drives. She resided in her later years in Aurora, CO with her son, Robert and daughter-in-law, Jody, along with her faithful canine companion, Gromit.

She is survived by her children: Jean & Jon Fortune of Knoxville, TN; Paul & Lori Radcliffe of Orondo, WA along with children and grand-children; and Robert & Jody Radcliffe of Aurora, CO.

Viewing and remembrance will be held on Wednesday, June 10th at Horan & McConaty from 10am to 11am. She will be laid to rest with her husband, John, at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver CO.
