Lan-Anh Nguyen

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the unexpected and sudden passing of our beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, Lan-Anh Ngoc Nguyen, on Tuesday, May 16, 2023. She is survived by her children Mikkayla Phuong Nguyen Walker (Drake Walker) and Elizabeth Marie Nelson. Lan-Anh is preceded in death by her mother, Ngoc Lan Thi Phan. She is survived by her siblings and their spouses: Khanh Thi Imhoff (Doug Imhoff), Danh T. Taylor (Anthony Taylor), Minh Cong Nguyen (Michele Nguyen), Nguyen Cong Thi Dung (Ngoc Nguyen), and William Kim Nguyen; and her nephews and nieces: Justin Nguyen, Ashley Nguyen, Alex Imhoff, Brandon Nguyen, Hannah Imhoff, Jonathan Nguyen, Nathan Taylor, and Jason Taylor.

Lan-Anh was born on January 6, 1975, in Vietnam. She made it a point to live every day to the fullest and make every moment an adventure. She had great love for the world, delicious food, and the outdoors with her favorite road bike. She brightened every room with her smile and radiant energy. She always knew how to crack a joke and make everyone laugh with her silliness. Lan-Anh’s special skill was helping those in need no matter whether it was her loved ones, her plants, furry animals, or even complete strangers. She is very much loved and will be missed immensely.

Services will be held for Lan-Anh on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Horan & McConaty (7577 West 80th Avenue, Arvada, CO 80003). A virtual livestream of the service will also be available and the link will be provided.

Lan-Anh has always wanted to complete the Police Unity Tour with her brother Minh, an LAPD officer. The tour is a four-day bike ride that takes place from New Jersey to Washington D.C., to raise awareness for fallen police officers and ensure their sacrifice is never forgotten. Each participant must raise $2,000 and several of her family members would like to participate in the tour in honor of her memory.
