Larry Albert Dietz, 73, died peacefully at home in Littleton, Colorado on August 13 from complications of Lewy Body Dementia with Parkinson’s. While Larry’s passing was sudden, he had been admirably and bravely living life in the face of a debilitating disease.
Larry was born February 13, 1947 in Dayton, Ohio where he spent his childhood and teenage years. This is also where he met his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Judy, whom he married in 1969. Larry and Judy moved to Colorado in 1972 and never looked back. They loved playing golf and enjoying the outdoors with family and their many close friends. Larry was a successful entrepreneur and small business owner who retired in 2012.
Larry is survived by his wife of 51 years, Judy; sons Chris (Kati) of Littleton, CO, Jeff (Cassie) of Boston, MA, grandchildren Molly, Ben, Andrew, Jack, and Ryan; sister Jill (Garry) Conway of San Antonio, TX, and brother Ed Dietz of Atwater, CA. Larry also leaves behind Judy’s siblings Jan Moeller, Jeri Ranes (Art), and Jim Fenton (Laura), and their families with whom he was very close. He was preceded in death by his mother Eileen Fourman, father Albert Dietz, and sister-in-law Jill Dietz.
A private memorial mass will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, with a celebration of life at Seven Stones Memorial Garden.
In lieu of flowers, we ask for donations to either Wyoming Children’s Society (
