Marilyn Jean (Fuller) Dietrich, age 76, died at her home in Centennial, Colorado on July 23, 2022. Marilyn graduated from Central Technical High School in Syracuse, New York and Nazareth College in Rochester, New York, with a degree in Special Education.
Marilyn spent a good part of her life in the service of others. She taught special needs children in Syracuse and started a day care center for physically and mentally challenged children in North Carolina. She was a hospice volunteer and served as a pastoral counselor at Sky Ridge Medical Center in Lone Tree. At Sky Ridge she also was involved in a “No One Dies Alone” program that provided volunteers to sit with dying patients. Marilyn volunteered at food banks and at various church programs. She lived in Toronto, Canada for eight years and, with her husband, was involved with Worldwide Marriage Encounter.
Marilyn and her husband John were married for 53 years. She is survived by John, their daughter Tamera (Jim) and son Brian (Kristin), along with their six grandchildren Connor, Avery, JD, Addison, Zachary and Kenzie. She is also survived by two siblings and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 24 at 11 am at Horan and McConaty funeral home located at 5303 East County Line Road in Centennial.
