Marjorie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. A wonderful generous friend who lived life fully and loved remarkably. The “love of her Life” was always Jim, her husband and lifelong love, friend, and companion of 68 years who preceded her in death. They were almost constantly together after retirement and so very much enjoyed each other’s company. They loved being together in almost all endeavors whether riding in the car, hiking or playing chess.
She was born and raised in California but after marriage, she and Jim travelled the world - even to the most remote regions of the world. Marjorie earned a doctorate while in Denver and taught there as well as universities in Australia and Germany. She and Jim lived a great number of years in Australia and traveled by car throughout the entire country. They also traveled throughout the whole of Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas. She lived an adventurous life with great enthusiasm. She was blessed with three wonderful sons who have remained very close with near daily contact although two live far away. She loved to say, “They and their families have made my life a joy in every way" and was often saying “We have such a wonderful family". She passed with the same peace and grace with which she lived her life. Her love, strength and courage were gifts to her family. Marjorie is survived by her sons Jim, John, and Paul, along with their wives and children. She was dearly loved and will be sorely missed.
