Michael Anthony “Tony” Rosales , 84, of Denver, passed away peacefully at home on March 5, 2022, surrounded by his loving family and dog Reggie. His loving mother, Eleanor, and stepdad Benny raised him alongside his 8 siblings. He graduated from West High School in Denver in 1955 and afterward enlisted in the US Navy. After serving in the Navy, Tony married the love of his life Tricia in 1959 and soon after started their family. He became a Denver police officer in 1964 and retired as a detective in 1992. Starting at a young age, he was very active in the Catholic church and raised his family to know Jesus. He was an incredibly kind man who cared deeply for his family.
He is survived by his wife Tricia; sons Mike (Deana), Chris (Anna), Eric (Traci); grandchildren Nic (Lacey), Dominic, Michael, Vinny, Alex, Anthony (Sonia), Mallory, Julia, Tia, Maria; great-grandchildren Lylah, Zadyn, Jett; sisters Helen, Sheila, Irene (Bill), Linda, Gina; brothers Dave (Jeanne), Louie and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son Dominic and his sister Ruth.
Rosary will be recited Tuesday, March 22, 2022, 7pm, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood. Funeral Mass Wednesday, March 23, 2022, 10:00am, Holy Name Catholic Church, 3290 W. Milan Avenue, Englewood. Burial will follow at 12pm, Staging Area A, Fort Logan National Cemetery.
