Mike lived in Arvada, Colorado. He was born September 2, 1953 in Denver, Colorado to Jean S. and Wanda (Whitted) Thibodeau. He passed away on January 4, 2022. Mike is survived by his loving wife Trish (Deaguero) Thibodeau. Children Brad Thibodeau, BriAnna (Michael) Eafanti, Brandon (Jenn) Thibodeau. Sibling Ernie (Jackie) Thibodeau. Grandchildren Soren, Myra, Dominik Eafanti, Riley, and Cade Thibodeau. Brother-in-laws Tom, John (Christie), Gerry Deaguero. Sister-in-laws Mary (Dean), Ann Burke, Sue (Ron) Johnson, Marge (Gery) Barr, and Fran Deaguero. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mike was preceded in death by both his parents, brothers-in-law Mike, Tim, and Joe Deaguero.
Mike joined the Navy in 1973, where he served four years and earned the National Defense Service Medal. Mike studied Basic Electricity/Electronics and became an Electrical Repairman which led him to his calling at various companies. Electric Power Equipment, Rawley, and then Power Controls where he worked 12 years before retiring on August 30, 2019.
In 1980 Mike met the love of his life, Trish (Deaguero) they were married May 26, 1984 and raised a beautiful family. Mike’s family was everything to him, from attending choir concerts, piano recitals, bowling leagues, track events, softball, football, basketball games and practices for all his children and grandchildren. He was everything from president of little league football team, bowling coach, assistant coach for softball, chaperone for school and sporting events. He was an enthusiastic fan and wanted to be a part of anything involving his family. He was an avid bowler, and golfer for many years. He had been a long-time member of Hyland Hills Men’s Club where he was the HHMC President in 1990. He also officiated at several Colorado Golf Assoc tournaments. His own golf partners sought him out for rulings, when he was on the course with them. Mike was a member of the Westminster Elks Lodge 2227 for 44 years.
Mike liked to cook and entertain so having family & friends over for parties and meals was an added pleasure.
He was a family man and treasured spending time with his loved ones. Mike’s sense of humor and kindness will be missed by all who knew him.
Military services for Mike will be at Ft. Logan on Friday March 18, 2022 at 2:00p.m. A Memorial Mass will take place on Friday, May 27, 2022, at 12:00 PM at Spirit of Christ Catholic Church, 7400 W. 80th Ave, Arvada, CO 80003.
