Nadine chose to die with dignity under the Colorado's End-of-Life Options Act after bravely fighting ovarian cancer for two and a half years.
Sunny Collins, Nadine's Goddaughter, shared with us Nadine lived her life by three morals: pay it forward, never give up, and have no regrets. Through her journey she has taught us all to be confident, independent, giving and strong. Nadine said, ""I could sit here and complain, but something good always comes out of something bad.""
A special thank you goes out to Nadine's team of doctors, surgeons and chemo nurses who were with her every step of her battle.
To her ""village"", you know who you are, thank you for staying with her, bringing her meals, taking her to doctor and chemo appointments, spending time with her, dancing and singing with her, supporting her, encouraging her, listening to her and letting her do this journey on her terms. Her village is her family with whom she loved sharing many special memories and to whom she was very grateful to share her journey with.
Her children, Jade Poole and husband Tom, and Justin Richards feel fortunate to be a part of this group of people who love them from near and far and continue to love them as they go through the grief of their mom's passing. They realize how important this was and how so many people aren't as fortunate to have this kind of support.
Judi's House is an organization that touched Nadine's heart and one that she wanted to support as part of her legacy. They offer support to more than 10,000 youth, ages 3-25, and caregivers, with the vision that no child should be alone in grief. They believe that investing in these vulnerable children will help them build resilience and the coping skills they need to adjust to their loss. The hope is they too, have a village that loves and supports them. We ask if you can't give financially, you are kind to someone who is going through a hard time and become a part of their village.
To give, please use the link below and put ""Nadine Richards"":

Nadine's cremation will be private and her family, along with her village, will celebrate her life at a later date.
