Pamela Brown

November 6, 1955 — January 21, 2021

Pamela K. Brown, age 65 passed away peacefully on the evening of January 21, 2021.  Her legacy of love, friendship, and the sharing of her gift of music will live on in our hearts.

Pam was born on November 6, 1955 in Mansfield Ohio.  In school, she excelled in music, winning the John Phillips Sousa award that recognized her for superior musicianship and outstanding dedication to her high school marching band.  In both Ohio and Colorado, she served in the music ministry of the churches she attended; leading choirs, playing percussion in worship bands, and blessing the congregation with her beautiful solos. Over the years, she was a member of several different singing groups outside of church including Reborn, Silk-n-Steel, and most recently her Colorado trio – Zelda Blu. Pam enjoyed the opportunity to share her talents in many venues including churches, retreats, festivals, the Botanic Garden, Herman’s Hideaway, and Swallow Hill.

Pam loved living in Colorado, often visiting the mountains to hike and photograph the beauty of the great outdoors.  Her favorite place was Estes Park where she visited Rocky Mountain National Park as often as possible. Pam’s other life-long love was for animals - especially dogs. She could identify even the rarest breed a half mile down the trail, and would often remember the dog’s name before the owner’s.  She had many furry friends who counted on her for her enthusiastic greetings and lengthy belly rubs.

Pam’s quiet faith in her Savior, her humor, her grace, and her gentle spirit will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
