Pat R. Johnson, 86, of Arvada passed away on April 10, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Findlay, Ohio she was the only daughter of Burgess and Dorothy (Mayhugh) Reese.
Pat attended the University of Florida and the University of Colorado.
For over 30 years, Pat worked as a professor of physical education and volleyball coach at Metropolitan State University in Denver. She will be remembered for her pioneering efforts in the field of women’s athletics and equity in sports.
Pat had a life long passion for golf, skiing, and the outdoors.
Pat is survived by her partner, Karen Davidson, her daughter, Diana Golden (Tim Golden), grandchildren Nicholas and Shannon, as well as Karen’s daughter, Rebecca.
A Celebration of Life with light refreshments will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 4:00 pm at the Horan & McConaty Reception Center, 7577 W. 80th Ave. Arvada, CO 80003.
