Patricia "Pat" Nelson was born in Manitowoc, WI on August 10, 1937 to John and Marian Everard and passed away on December 23, 2021 at the age of 84. She married Carl "Bunny" Nelson in 1957 and moved to Arvada in 1963 with four kids in tow and another one on the way. Pat and her husband bought Carr Street Florist and Greenhouse from her parents and ran the business together. Pat attended Cliff Mann School of Floral Design in Denver and worked in the flower shop, designing beautiful arrangements using flowers grown in their greenhouses. Pat ran both the flower shop and greenhouses for a number of years after her husband passed away in 1984. It was during this time that Pat met Salvatore "Tedo" Spano and they later married and were together until his death in 2016. After selling the business Pat worked as a real estate agent for a period of time but eventually went back to working with flowers, which was her passion. She enjoyed traveling with friends, was an avid bridge player and enjoyed playing Bunco as well as attending Red Hat and Suburbanite activities. Pat is survived by her children, Geri Richmond, Carla, Steve, Mike and Jeff Nelson and her brothers Mike and Bill Everard. She is also survived by her grandchildren Dan and Jared Richmond, Mandy DeFeo, Josh and Jeremy Nelson, Chris and Matt Nelson, Shane Nelson and Megan Derrevere, and her great grandchildren Jack, Sadie, Cohen and Hudson Nelson.
