On September 4, 2021, Petros D. Latsis, husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully at the age of 89.
Pete was born and raised in Greece and was the eldest of seven. At the age of 18, he immigrated to the United States and ultimately settled down in the Denver area where he would later meet his wife, Velma. He was known for his free-spirited nature, love of Cadillac cars, cigars, cowboy boots and jewelry.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents Demetrios and Zoe, his brother Athanasios, and sister Mary. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Velma, their children, several grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, his surviving brothers and sisters, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held in his honor on Friday, September 10 at 11:00 AM at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Due to Covid, no reception will be hosted following the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Assumption Greek Cathedral or to the American Alzheimer’s Association.
