Robert Bennie Swadley, age 64, passed away in his home in Littleton, Colorado on July 23rd, 2022, surrounded by his family after a 2 ½ year battle with prostate cancer.
Bob was born June 10th, 1958, in Denver, Colorado. He was a graduate of Northglenn High School and then Metropolitan State University of Denver where he received his bachelor’s degree in Business. He met Dawn Brookbank, a young girl from Gary, Indiana while working as a courier in college and they married after two years of dating in 1982. Two children followed Brooke Elizabeth in 1986 and Tyler Robert in 1989.
In 1984 he started his 33-year career with Allstate Insurance where he was a beloved manager in various departments before retiring at 59 years old.
Bob was an avid cyclist both on the road and in the mountains and loved to ski, golf, and camp with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn, and their daughter Brooke, mother, Georgia Swadley, sisters Georgette (Jonathan) Williams all of Denver, Wendi (Jeff) Johnston of Santa Clarita, California, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his son Tyler Robert Swadley and his father Robert William Swadley, both in 2018.
Memorial services will take place at Horan and McConaty Funeral Home at 5303 E. County Line Road in Littleton, Colorado on Saturday, July 30th at 11:00 am with a luncheon to follow the service.
