Salvador Salazar - dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather - passed away at his home in Thornton, CO on Thursday, June 23, 2022. Salvador moved to Denver at the age of 31 where he met and married his wife of 49 years, Patricia . He worked for 25 years with the Coors Container Company as a machine operator, before retiring in 2003.
Our dad loved all outdoor activities including fishing, camping, boating and hunting. However, his favorite activity was just getting in the car and going for a ride with his family. Our parents loved their vacations! And for all us who were lucky enough to travel with them, these are memories that will be cherished.
Salvador is survived by his wife, Patricia, sons Michael Ketteler (Marion), Francisco Salazar (Lourdes), Oscar Salvador Salazar (Maria), Servando Salazar (Cecilia), and his daughters Joan Brand (Lance), Cindy Gallegos (Ron), Cathy Johnson (Darryl) and Melissa Uribes (Ben). He is also survived by 14 Grandchildren (Tara, Brittany, Michael, Jourdan, Courtney, Tevin, Jada, Tyrese, Gabe, Olivia, Mia, Carissa, Elizabeth, and Sophia) and 9 Great Grandchildren (Janessa, Audrey, Michael, Liliana, Gretchen, Gunther, Skye, Chase and Billy). He was preceded in death by his parents and sister.
