Sheila Lemley-Terrell

Sheila Sue Lemley-Terrell, age 72 of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away on January 30, 2021, at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. Sheila was born August 20, 1948, in Denver, Colorado, to Bernice and Francis Terrell. She attended Wayland Baptist University. Sheila spent over 35 years enthusiastically teaching in small schools from New Raymer, Colorado, to San Salvador, El Salvador. She was married to Monty Lemley for 25 years, and raised their son, Jonathan, on a farm in Briggsdale, Colorado. Sheila loved riding horses and serving the community in the Weld County Sheriff’s Posse.

In 2017, Sheila moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming, to be closer to her son and his family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her only grandson, Ryan Lemley. They shared a special bond through their love of the Colorado Rockies baseball team and her chickens.

Sheila is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her brother Jeff Terrell (Dianne), aunt Carolyn Hackbarth, son Jonathan Lemley (Rita) and her grandson, Ryan Lemley.

A celebration of life will be held in May at her beloved ranch in Briggsdale, Colorado.
