Steve Franklin

Steve Franklin, 58, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor on Saturday, January 12^th from 2:00-6:00pm at Westwoods Golf Clubhouse, 6655 Quaker St., Arvada, CO 80007, open to all friends and family wanting to come and share memories.

Steve was born on July 4, 1960 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Jerry Franklin Sr. and Marilyn (Franklin) Tofflemoyer. Steve was a successful businessman who founded and established his company, Sunshine Building Maintenance Inc., in 1979. He grew it into a prominent firm in the commercial cleaning industry and entrusted the continuation of its success under the leadership of his two sons, Kris and Eric. While building and running a successful company demanded time and dedication, Steve always made time for fun. He was a notorious thrill seeker who loved slalom-skiing, snow-skiing, snowmobiling, scuba diving, hunting, fishing, hiking, traveling; pretty much anything outdoors - and he loved to share these adventures with friends and family as much as possible. Steve is remembered as a strong man, someone people looked up to as a leader. He was a giver, a provider, a brutally honest man with a truly magnetic personality. Above all else, Steve was a dedicated and loving family man. He will be missed deeply by friends and family.

Steve is survived by his wife, Lia; 5 children, Kris, Eric, Shelby, Johnny, and Lauren; his mother, Marilyn; 2 sisters and 1 brother, Cheryl, Mary, and Jerry.
