Sydney Clark

Sydney Raine Clark, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, peacefully returned home to her Heavenly Father on Friday, October 29, 2021.

Raised in Arvada, Colorado, Sydney attended Colorado State University, where she was majoring in veterinary medicine. She had a love for animals from a young age and hoped to care for furry friends. She later transferred to the University of Utah to continue her education. It was there where she found an interest in cosmetology school and met her future husband, Gary.

Following a beautiful courtship, Sydney was sealed to her eternal sweetheart Gary Clark on May 1, 1999, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.

Following school, she and Gary moved to Erie, Colorado to begin their life together as a family. Sydney had a deep love for children and was so grateful when her and Gary’s prayers were answered with two incredible children of their own, Jackson and Campbell.

Sydney was a gentle and quiet soul, ever the “peace maker” and always the first in her neighborhood to organize anything from an Easter egg hunt in the park to a “spooky” garage and yard display on Halloween - her family’s favorite event. Sydney was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was passionate about serving. Her love and service in the church and in the community will be missed.

Another of Sydney’s passions was spending time with her family and siblings laughing. She was well known for her quick wit and sharp humor.

She is survived by her parents Alan and Kay Curtis; eternal companion Gary Clark; children Jackson Clark and Campbell Clark; sister Alacyn (Tono) Rios, sister Mindy (Dave) Lobb, brother Randy (Heather) Curtis, brother Mike (Ashley) Curtis, sister Cathy (Mike) Anderson and sister Christen (Doug) Reid.

A viewing for family and friends will take place on Thursday, November 4, 2021 from 6-7:30 PM, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 701 W. South Boulder Road, Louisville, CO  80027.

A funeral service for Sydney will be held at 11:00am on Friday, November 5, 2021, also at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 701 W. South Boulder Road in Louisville. Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Brighton, Colorado.
