Our dear son and brother, Thomas H Billings, II, passed away on January 27th at his home in Aurora, Colorado.
Born July 7, 1968 in Bethesda, Maryland, into a Navy family, Tom spent his youth living in various cities across the U.S. and in Japan. He lived and worked in San Diego, California for most of his adult life, receiving his AA from San Diego City College in 2002. For the majority of his career there he worked for KUSI TV as a photojournalist, a position he was very passionate about.
After relocating to Colorado in 2016 to be nearer to family, he worked as a shift manager and trainer for Walgreens in Aurora. His entire Colorado family is grateful that we were able to enjoy many wonderful family moments with him during the last 5 years of his life.
Tom is survived by his father, CAPT Thomas H Billings, USN (Ret), of Aurora, CO; and his sisters Kim Andrews and Robin Mickle of Aurora, CO. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Steele Billings.
A memorial service for family members and close friends will be held on Saturday, February 19th at 10:00 AM at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, 8545 E. Dry Creek Rd, Centennial, CO.
Tom loved the mountains and the national parks. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Tom’s name can be made to the Rocky Mountain Conservancy.
