Thomas Dowling Crews was born on September 20, 1947 to Roy and Doris Crews of Live Oak, Florida. He passed away on November 4, 2021 in Centennial, Colorado.
Tom was a graduate of West Aurora High School and Aurora University in Aurora, Illinois.
He joined the Army at 18 and was a Crew Chief and Door Gunner on Huey Helicopters during his 18 months in Vietnam. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal while in Vietnam.
In 1983 Tom joined the Navy Reserves as an Intelligence Officer and rose to the rank of Commander. While in the Navy he served in NORAD, Korea and Germany.
Tom also spent time working for the IRS in Colorado, Texas and Kansas.
Tom leaves his wife Nancy and Daughters Leah Crews (Bob Ardalan) of Centennial and Christine Crews of Denver. He also leaves his Four precious Grandchildren, Leia, River, Sterling and Clara Ardalan. Most of all he leaves his faithful Service Dog Peppermint Patty. He also leaves his sister Cassandra Mueller of Naperville, Illinois.
