Thomas Tubbs

Thomas Anthony Tubbs, 68, of Highlands Ranch, CO formerly of Lorain, OH died on November 20, 2021 after a brief illness.

Tom was born on March 6,1953 in Lorain, OH. He is predeceased by his parents, Thomas Alfred and Joan Marie Tubbs.

Tom attended Gilmour Academy (Gates Mills, OH) and graduated from Lorain Catholic High School in 1971.  He received his BS from Regis University in Denver. Tom worked many years in Information Systems roles for IBM, Medtronic, and Siemens.

Tom loved the outdoors and he fully enjoyed and took advantage of living in Denver. He loved to ski, hunt and hike with his sons, Logan and Nick and his dogs, Bo and Ryder. Tom also was a member of the Douglas County Search and Rescue team for many years.

Tom loved to visit Ohio in the summers to get his fill of Lake Erie perch and Bob Evans. When he visited Ohio, he enjoyed spending time with the extended Vargo family and liked attending the annual Polish Open family reunion of Tubbs & Zaworski relatives.

Tom will be remembered by his friends and family for his loyalty and great sense of humor.

He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria Vargo of 38 years and sons Logan and Nick Tubbs, of Highlands Ranch, CO.

Lovingly remembered by his brothers, Terry Tubbs (Christine), Lorain, OH, Tim Tubbs, Lakewood, OH, John Tubbs (Jackie Cree) Lorain, OH and sisters MaryJo Lilly (David) and Janet Tubbs (David Russell) and multiple nieces and nephews and uncles, aunts and cousins.
