Timothy Michael Runyon, 40, of Golden, Colorado, passed away unexpectedly April 20, 2021. Tim was born in Aurora, Colorado on June 8, 1980 to Bonnie Biddulph and David Runyon. He was the youngest of their four boys.
Tim grew up in Aurora, attending Smoky Hill High School and as a member of the National Honor Society, graduated in 1998. He applied and was accepted to both Annapolis and West Point. He instead decided to attend the University of Wyoming on a wrestling scholarship, then later transferred to the University of Northern Colorado with a wrestling scholarship and notably being on the Dean’s List. Tim then attended the University of Colorado, receiving his “PhD Doctorate” of Physical Therapy, graduating in 2008 and again being on the Dean’s List.
Tim was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a missionary in Japan and Alabama.
Tim married Sarah M. Lovin in the LDS Temple in Denver Colorado. They adopted at birth their daughter, Keira Marie Runyon on January 25, 2015 through the Gladney Center for Adoption in Fort Worth Texas. Kiera’s heritage is from Nepal. Tim and Sarah later divorced.
Tim was a “Passionate” fan of wrestling. After wrestling in the Colorado State Championships for two years in High School, he progressed to College level competition. As he began his professional career, he continued involvement in wrestling as a high school assistant coach and gave extra hours as a tournament referee. Tim was passionate about sports in general and was a big fan of his college teams, and other Colorado teams, the Broncos, Avalanche, Rockies … and especially the Air Force Academy where he watched his older brother, Kevin, play Football and Baseball.
Professionally, Doctor Tim was a diligent and talented physical therapist serving patients in the Colorado Denver Metro area for ten years and in the Houston Texas Metro area for three years. He took a personal interest in every one of his patients, often forming lasting bonds of friendship through his genuine love and concern. He did not refer to them as “Patients” – only as “Friends...”
Tim appreciated everything about the Nature of Mother Earth, he especially loved water and was an enthusiastic fisherman … and a huge Animal Lover.
Words cannot possibly express how Loving, Dedicated and Caring Tim was to his daughter Keira. He was also Loving and Loyal to Friends … who are numerous and nationwide!!! Tim had the most compassionate Heart & Soul and gave selflessly of himself to others.
Tim was the ANGEL among us
