Todd Farley

Todd William Farley, age 68, passed away in his home in Golden, Colorado in the early morning of March 13, 2021.  He was surrounded by his loving family.

Todd was born in Portland, Oregon to Bill and Rainy Farley.  He spent most of his childhood in Georgia and New Jersey. His appreciation and love for the ocean was born as a child and he loved diving in the waves off the Jersey shore.  Todd dearly loved his younger brother, Kent Laymon, who was tragically taken at the age of 6 to a brainstem tumor.

After Kent’s death, Todd, his Mother, and Father moved to Colorado in 1962.  His beloved brother, John “Jay” Laymon, was born shortly thereafter.  Todd attended Bear Creek High School and was lights out from the three-point line on the basketball team and was Editor of the school newspaper.  He attended the University of Colorado for a few years, but family circumstances kept him from completing his degree.

He hired on with Ball Corporation in Golden, Colorado. He gave 44 years of service to the company, starting as an Operator and working his way into several management positions.  He was a Production and QA Manager at the Golden plant, a Plant Manager in Reidsville, NC, the QA Manager at the Packaging Office Center and finished his career as the Manager of the Graphics Center of Excellence in 2018.

Todd was a passionate golfer, political activist, and loved going to the gun range for target practice.  He loved music and sang and played guitar and was an amazing artist.  Todd always said he was a Jack of All Trades, Master of None, but his family firmly believes he was the Master of Everything.

Of all his accomplishments, Todd was most proud of his family.  He loved his family. And he was his family’s guiding light, protector, provider of wisdom and the greatest giver of love.  He will be deeply missed.

Todd is preceded in death by his Father Bill, Mother Lorraine, and Brother Kent.  He is survived by his loving wife Claudia Farley, his son T.K. (Todd Kent) Farley, his daughter Tyler Farley and his daughter Tiffany Barnwell, her husband Bryan, his precious granddaughter Lorraine Carol Barnwell and his loyal companion Nugget.  His brother Jay Farley, Jay’s wife Wendy and their two sons Kevin and Matthew.  His brother-in-law Rusty Brown, Rusty’s wife Young Cha and their two sons Cristopher and Stephan.  His sister-in-law Barbara Hill and Barbara’s daughter Amy. His sister-in-law Julie Shuttleworth and Julie’s children Scott, Logan, Daniel, and Autumn. His Stepmother Mary Farley and Mary’s children Janet, Stephen (Rusty), Laine, Noel Ludwig and their families.

The Celebration of Life for Todd William Farley will be held on Thursday, the 25th of March at 3pm with a reception to immediately follow.  Services will be located at Horan & McConaty, 7577 W. 80th Avenue, Arvada, CO, 80003.
